2nd Annual Fill-A-Cruiser Food Drive FILLS THREE PICK-UP TRUCKS WITH DONATIONS
Partnership with Ayer and Shirley Police Departments benefited Stone Soup Kitchen
The second annual Fill-A-Cruiser community food drive on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the Shop ’n Save grocery store at 22 Fitchburg Road in Ayer.
In partnership with the Police Departments of Ayer and Shirley, Rotarians and officers collected donations of non-perishable food and household items. All items collected were delivered directly to Stone Soup Kitchen in Ayer, which operates a food pantry and community meals to support local residents facing food insecurity.
Shoppers are encouraged to pick up extra items while grocery shopping and drop them off at the police cruiser stationed outside the store.
Small Acts Project: Birthday Party Kits for Food Pantry
We completed our first Rotary Small Act on Saturday, April 18! Ten Rotarians gathered to assemble 25 birthday kits to Stone Soup Kitchen in Ayer.
"Thank you again for the amazing gifts you brought for us to hand out at the pantry. Everyone loves to get one of these birthday tins when they've got a celebration to plan.

Every year, we give a dictionary to every third-grade student in our area's elementary schools. In this online-age, printed dictionaries are a surprise big hit with the students! Supporting literacy is just one way our Rotary Club gives back to the community with the support of our generous supporters.
