High school seniors from Ayer, Shirley, Harvard and Devens are eligible to apply for a scholarship from their local Rotary Club. The deadline to apply for a $2,000 prize is April 11, 2025.
Each year the Ayer Rotary club is committed to sponsoring two students in total from the towns of Ayer, Shirley, Harvard, and Devens by giving them the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. Candidates for the scholarship must be high school seniors, or the equivalent, and must be applying to help fund tuition to a higher or continuing education program. The application deadline is Friday April 11, 2025.

The scholarships will be awarded to the students in the amount of $2,000 and will be announced on the awards night held at their respective schools. The funds will be distributed as a reimbursement of tuition after a review of their fall transcript. To apply each student must submit their official school transcript and an essay to Karen Strickland Sampson via email karens@ayermoving.com. The essay should be 1000 words maximum and should pertain to the topic of Community Service. Specifically, the essay should convey what the student has done already to serve the community and how they plan to continue to serve in the future.

For further questions regarding the scholarship process, Karen Strickland Sampson can be reached via phone at 978-852-0173.
